Yalung Ri Peak Climbing

Yalung Ri Peak Climbing is a non-technical mountain in eastern Nepal's Rolwaling Valley. The Yalung Ri peak climb, located at an elevation of 5630 meters, is a mix of rock, ice, and snow. Yalung Ri is a wonderful peak for beginners, suitable for those with little to no prior climbing experience. The summit is a suitable starting point for inexperienced climbers.

However, the ascent of Yalung Ri is not straightforward and requires the use of crampons, rope work, and an ice axe. From the base camp, the ascent of Yalung Ri starts with a rocky traverse before advancing gradually through the crampon point, an area of ice glacier. From here, the moderate, low-tech ascent of rock and snow to the summit presents little technical difficulty. There is a ridge that the summit path goes across. In conjunction with a mixed ascent consisting of rock, ice, and snow, the steepness reaches an angle of up to 40 degrees. Even though Yalung Ri isn't as high as some of Nepal's other trekking peaks, it nevertheless deserves respect and requires the right equipment for mountaineering. To increase the success rate, we have carefully considered all relevant factors when creating the itinerary. In a single day, we will attempt the 700-meter ascent from base camp to the peak.
    • Fantastic trek/climb combo at the entrance to the breathtaking Rolwaling Valley.
    • Ideal first-time experience climbing the Himalayas with a Nepalese mountain guide.
    • Yalung Ri offers a magnificent summit view of Menlungtse and Gauri Shankar.
    • Unspoiled and rural area reachable by road; no internal planes.
