Day two leads us to an extraordinary day filled with the exploration of the mysteriously glorious valley which brings you the existences of Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, and other great cultural as well as other sites favored by both history and nature.

From Kathmandu, we take an early morning flight to Pokhara after having an early breakfast. After a fruitful landing in Pokhara, we will move to the hotel and refresh ourselves. After some refreshment, we will be ready to explore some amazing places in Pokhara. Overnight will be in Pokhara.

From Pokhara, we start to Jomsom which is the headquarter district of Mustang passing the deepest Kali Gandaki. The view is mind-blowing as you go on a path with the grand Himalayas. Spilling out of the Tibetan Plateau, you can see the dazzling Kali Gandaki River. You can see the antique town Kagbeni after a walk.

With the company of the beautiful Mani walls, landscape, and the Buddhist Chorten we trek to the Tangbe village through the Kaligandaki Riverbank. We have lunch at the Chhuksang after an hour, we then again proceed with our trek over the bank of the Kaligandaki river. There are 16 caves on the path of the trail above the tunnel of the Kaligandaki River. The trail ascends to the fantastic sight of the Kaligandaki River and the NilgiriHimal that connects to Tsaile. We stay overnight at the Tsaile.

The day includes six to seven hours to walk from Tsaile leading our way to Gheling at 3550 meters as many chortens welcome us along the way. Gheling is surprisingly a small village formed of mud houses resembling its own authentic and unique beauty where we will be staying for the night.

On the seventh day, we will find ourselves in the dry area covered by Mustang as we step away from Gheling and move further towards Tsarang which is situated at 3,560 meters. Around five hours or less we will reach Tsarang.

Enjoying the beautiful view of snow-covered hills and mountains, we move towards Lo Manthang situated at 3,730 meters from Tsarang continuing a six hours long trek and eventually end up staying there at Lo Manthang. It’s going to be a full six hours of walking to reach Lo Manthang which will indeed be an amazing journey.

Lo Manthang is a gorgeous location to have some rest before heading off to the continuation of the trip. Lo Manthang is the stunning capital of the home of adventures; Upper Mustang. The Capital is home to people who follow cultures and traditions that are similar to the Tibetan people and in that way, the capital resembles the Tibetan world in some context. The Village of Lo Manthang used to be the capital of a Kingdom called Lo but now it belongs to Upper Mustang. The beautiful place holds uniquely formed houses and monasteries together. It is indeed a great place for exploration. We shall rest here before heading on for Yara.

We will beat the Dhi Village after coming out of the Lo Manthang and then we descend down the path and reach the Yara village, the journey is extremely beautiful and has many caves through the way. We will spend an overnight at the Yara.

Out from the Yara, we make a short trip to the Luri Gompa and then discover the path on the way where we visit the beautiful and ancient Monasteries. We are headed to the Luri Cave Monastery at the beginning of the ascent at 4500m which is renowned and is ancient in the Mustang region of the 15th century. Then we can observe various statues and the images of the Deities and the Protectors. Later, we visit the Luri cave monastery that is the other monastery and is wonderful and ancient. We then stay overnight at the Luri.

Out from the monastery of the Luri cave, we go downhill to the gorge and combine the Yara- GhumaThanti Trail. Through the pastures from the hilltop, the walk is extremely awesome. With the fabulous sight of Mount Dhaulagiri, the trekking becomes even more awesome, and then we continue to go downhill and reach the GhumaThanti, then to the sacred Damodar Kunda Lakes which is the place that shelters the Buddhist pilgrims. We stay overnight at the Ghuma Thanti.

It is day 13 as we head back from the beautiful Ghuma Thanti, Along the way it takes about 4-5 hrs to reach and ascend up to the Bacha Khola which is at an altitude of 4890m. It is extremely splendid and unquestionably does not fail to amaze us.

After we spend our time at the Bacha Khola and appreciate the beauty of this Lake, we ascend today even more with an altitude of 5010m for 4 to 5 hrs and ultimately reach the Damodar Kund.

We stay at Damodar Kunda for another day to get some rest in the holy area while having some time for ourselves for exploration. The beautiful lake places itself on the base of the gorgeous Damodar Himal while carrying its holy significance. It is regarded as holy especially by the Hindus and also by the Buddhists. The lake has also been referred to in a holy Hindu book called BarahPuran and the name Damodar indicates Lord Krishna.

The sixteenth day has been reserved to remain flexible with our itinerary in case of emergency situations. This day is a contingency day which shall be used in such conditions that have not been planned or in which it shall be wise to rest rather than continuing the journey.

We trek for the 4-5 hrs today and trek from the Damodar Kund to the Japanese Base Camp, the path is wonderful and a fun day to view the scenic surrounding from us. We stay overnight at the Japanese Base Camp.

Today we head to the path which is icy and snow-covered while we gradual ascent. Today’s trek is challenging and hard so we rest at every place while we can then continue to the hike at the DamodarHimal and the Khumjunggar Himal and reach the camping site at Camp I. Our Nomad team will make necessary preparations and then we set up our camps

Until we reach the Pho Gaon we start our trek with snowy peaks views on the barren valley and the Tibetan plateau. Different religion, culture and the natural diversity with beautiful ethnic groups like Ghale, Gurung, and Lama makes it even more meaningful. We then head to the Pho Gaon out from the Bhrikuti camp

Following the narrow trail and then descending at the Kyang, we head for the Khampa settlement which has a lot to offer from the ruined forts the there are places where Chyaku, Jhunam, and Kyang places are found. We then continue our hike to the Meta and then we can observe the splendid mesmerizing view of the LamjungHimal and the Annapurna II. We stay overnight at the Meta.

As we leave Meta for reaching Koto, we will be welcomed with beautiful forests and water streams along the route. Before reaching Koto, our peak climbing trip comes to many suspension bridges then we stay for an overnight at Koto

From Koto you will be heading to one of the rugged ventures. Our goal is to reach Dharapani where we rest for the night, so we will be enjoying the route leading to Dharapani situated at 1860 meters in height.

The twenty-fourth day leads us back to the city of Kathmandu through Beshsahar situated at an elevation of 760m. We leave from Dharapani very early in the morning in a jeep and march forwards to the conclusion of the great Saribung Peak Climbing Venture while reminiscing the adventure of a lifetime in the long drive.

Required Experience for summiting Saribung Peak

To attain the amazing Peak of Saribung, one needs to have sound and steady health conditions with a good level of fitness to help one reach the top. You do not really need any form of previous mountaineering experience to conduct this adventure, however, it’d be amazing if you have some kind of mountain walking experience.

Pre-Trip Meet up and the Requirement of Insurance for Saribung Peak Expedition

An ordinary day in the Saribung Peak Climb Journey

Your amazing morning starts off with a warm and delicious breakfast on the Saribung Peak Climb Journey. Then we will be tidying up our bag packs and head off for today's trekking for the next three to four hours until we reach a pleasant spot for lunch. Likewise, we shall continue the trekking until we reach our destination overnight where we will also be having our dinner.

Accommodation and meals on the Saribung Peak Climb Trip

While at the Saribung Peak Climbing, you will be provided with local-level services which won’t be very luxurious but shall be filled with politeness and warmth. We are likely to encounter lodges run by a family in general which usually have shared bathroom facilities and a warm fireplace in the dining hall. Similarly, the meals which you will be provided include breakfast, lunch, and dinner at their respective time.

Altitude Sickness in the Saribung Peak Climb Journey:

In the climbing adventure, the major risk involved is the risk of altitude sickness which takes form in three major stages Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE), and High Altitude Cerebral Edema (HACE). To minimize the risk, we prepare the itinerary in an acclimatization-friendly way involving hikes to nearby areas and proper exercises on extra days.
