We will be conducting acclimatization before heading for Summiting Naya Kanga Peak, to be prepared both physically and mentally. From the Nayakang High Camp, we will start ascending the glorious peak very early in the morning and then again resume trekking to the Naya Kanga Peak Base Camp. Naya Kanga Peak Climb Difficulty Level is challenging as it is one of the technically difficult peaks to climb in the Langtang region even though the Naya Kang Peak Elevation is below 6000 meters. After your arrival at Kathmandu airport, one of our office members will be there to pick you up and will be drove to your respective hotel. Today, after you get refreshed at your hotel, you can take short strolls in the streets of Kathmandu.

Today, after having our morning breakfast in Kathmandu, we drive for Syabru Bensi in our private vehicle which is likely to take us about seven hours to reach. Along the way, we will get to see the changing picturesque landscapes and beautifully flowing rivers. We will be staying overnight at Syabru Bensi village found to be situated at an elevation of 1,462 meters.

On the second day, we begin our trek from Syabru Besi after having an early morning breakfast there and head for Lama Hotel. It will take us about five hours of walk to reach Lama Hotel which is situated at an elevation of 2,470 meters. We will be moving through beautiful forests of pines and bamboo. You will get to observe the beautiful view of beehives hanging on a cliff. Facing various ups and downs, we will be getting to Lama Hotel where we will be staying for the night.

Today, we will be heading for the Langtang village situated at an elevation of 3,430 meters which is likely to take us about six hours of walk. We will be moving through the beautiful forests of conifer, oak, and rhododendron. If the weather is clear, we will get to see an astounding view of the magnificent Langtang Lirung. Entrance checks are carried out by the military where we will be paying our entrance fees in order to make our way through the beautiful Langtang National Park. We will be staying overnight in Langtang Village.

On the fourth day of our climbing and trekking adventure, we will be leaving Langatnag Village and heading towards Kyanjin Gompa. It will take us approximately about three hours of walking to reach an elevation of 3,870 meters. On our way, we will be crossing the gracious LajaKhola which leads us to a viewpoint that gives us a beautiful view of KyanjinGompa and the icefall coming down from Kinshung and Langtang Lirung. Then it is followed by a trail descending down to KyanjinGompa. We will be staying overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.

As this is a technical climbing and trekking adventure, acclimatization is a must. And for that purpose, we separate the seventh day as for rest at KyanjingGompa. You can seize the opportunity for a short hike to the Tscheurkuri peak.

Today, we will be moving towards Naya Kang Kharka after taking proper rest at Kyanjin Gompa. It is likely to take us about five hours to reach Naya Kang Kharka which is situated at an elevation of 4100 meters. We will be crossing the Langtang Khola as we follow the trails and then pass through a forest decorated with rhododendrons. We can see beautiful yak caravans as we begin getting nearer to Naya Kang Kharka. We will be staying overnight here at Ngegang which is the base camp of Nayakang peak.

On the seventh day, we will be extending our trek towards Naya Kang High Camp which is situated at an elevation of 4,960 meters. It is likely to take us about five hours to reach the High Camp. We will be facing a steep ascent and it indeed can be a little challenging to reach Naya Kang High Camp. We will be trekking along the rocky and icy glacier. No matter the challenge, we will be stunned by the view of Langtang Lirung, Ganchenpo peak, Tserkori, YansiTsenji, KibgyuRi, peak, and some other peaks from the High Camp. We will be staying overnight at High Camp.

Finally, on the eighth day, our climbing adventure begins. With all the equipment which were settled a day before, we will be ascending the glorious Naya Kang Peak. You will be following the direction of our professionally experienced climbing guide. With the use of ropes and ice-axe along with other mountain climbing equipment, we will summit the peak and begin the climb very early in the morning since we will need to head back to Naya Kang Kharka Base Camp on the same day.

Today, we will be having our early morning breakfast at Ngegang Kharka and then head for the Kyangjin Gompa Village. It will take us about four hours to reach Kyangjin Gompa from Ngengang Kharka. We will be descending downhill today as the elevation starts declining the further we trek toward Kyanjin Gompa via Langtang Khola. We will be staying overnight at Kyangjin Gompa.

We will be heading to Lama Hotel from Kyangjin Gompa after early morning breakfast. We will move, following the Langtang Khola as we retrace our route from Kyanjin Gompa. We will be staying overnight at Lama Hotel.

Today, we will be heading back to Syabru Besi where our trekking and climbing journey began. We will be moving while enjoying the views of green hills and amazing landscapes at the same time. We will be spending our night at Syabru Besi where we can certainly celebrate and enjoy the accomplishment of this amazing Nayakang peak climbing adventure.

Finally, on the twelfth day, we will be heading back to Kathmandu in a private vehicle. You can take the remaining time to explore some parts of Kathmandu city. Today will be your last day in Kathmandu before departure. It is likely to take us seven hours to reach Kathmandu where we will officially conclude the trip through some celebrations and discussions of the experience.

Experience required for climbing Naya Kang Peak

Since Naya Kang Peak is a very technical trekking and climbing peak, one must have previous mountaineering experience and must be physically fit. There may be more difficult routes and altitude may range up to 5500 meters.

Trip Meeting before heading off for Naya Kang Peak Summit

Before starting our Naya Kang Peak Climbing, we hold a Pre-Trip meeting where you will be introduced to your climbing guide and other crew members that are going along with you. This day is a good opportunity for you to ask any queries related to the trip.

A normal running day in the Naya Kang Peak Climb Itinerary

Our usual day will start at 6.30 am after morning breakfast. After breakfast, we will be ready to start our journey to the Naya Kang Peak. After hiking for 3-4 hours we will stop for lunch. Later, walk for another three hours or so before you stop overnight. The evening can be spent reading or chatting with your fellow hikers or trekking crew about the trip of the day.

Accommodation and Meals in the Naya Kang Peak Summiting Journey

During your Naya Kang Peak Summiting Journey, you will have the opportunity to experience your stay at different lodges. However, they will not be filled with luxurious services but surely with warmth and a welcoming vibe. You might need to share bathroom facilities as well as the warm Fireplace that is usually in the dining. Regarding the meals, you will be offered three timely meals a day which have breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the list.

Insurance required for climbing Naya Kang

Altitude Sickness in the Nayakang Peak Expedition

There are three levels of Altitude Sickness that one can suffer from during the Nayakang Peak Expedition. They are; Acute Mountains Sickness (AMS), High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE), and High Altitude Cerebral Edema (HACE). So in order to minimize the risk, we shall conduct acclimatization processes along with the required form of exercise and share information on the ways of recognizing the symptoms of altitude sickness like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and others.

  • The permits that are asked in order to climb Naya Kang Peak are; the Langtang National Park Permit, local government’s permit, the Permit of Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA permit), the Trekker’s Information Management System (TIMS) card.
